On the Menu Monday (MPM) - Week 3

Weekends are going by very quickly at the moment. I think being on site with a new client plays into that of course. I think I only cooked one meal last week. We had sushi Monday, I was late Tuesday, so the boy through a pizza in and I literally ate as I walked back out the door and then I made the tilapia Wednesday. Thursday we had so much fun out at dinner, and the exhibit was amazing, I absolutely loved it. Friday I was absolutely brain dead and put in a 12 hour day, so the last thing I wanted to do was go and be social unfortunately, so we stayed in and the boy went and picked up take out.

I had way too much that I wanted to get done this weekend and of course not enough time. I had the boys cousins shower Saturday morning, and had not purchased the gift yet. She is having a girl, so we stopped at Target and it was just way too much fun picking things out for her. She really wanted socks and onesies, but I also had to pick up a couple of cute outfits too. The shower was a lot of fun and it was really nice to be included. After the boy and I went to see Django Unchained before heading out to dinner with friends. I am kind of on the fence about Django Unchained, it is such a Quentin Tarrantino film. . . .Dinner was really good and we had a big group of 13, so it was a lot of fun. We went to a local place called Gardens of Salonica, which is a Greek place, they had lots of different fun options to try, the boy and I split a lamb dish baked in parchment.

Sunday we worked on the house, taking the tree down, cleaning the house, getting organized for the week. You would have thought I would have put a pot of soup on the stove, but it just didn't happen. We wound up running out and grabbing a bite to eat while also running errands, groceries, filling up the car and such.

This week, we have some plans, but we also need to finish putting the house back together. I will say it does make me a little sad to take down all of the holiday decorations, the house seems so empty, even the front stoop.

Monday
Plans - Home, laundry (this did not happen yesterday either), put away holiday
Dinner - Crusty bread, white bean and ham soup

Tuesday
Plans - Movie Screening Broken City
Dinner - Out, grabbing a bite before the movie

Wednesday
Plans - We have passes to see Last Stand with Arnold, but we may just stay in too.
Dinner - depends, it could be out, or it could be home. If it is home, I think I will make this chicken noodle casserole dish, but I will use a rotisserie chicken.

Thursday
Plans - I may play cards with the neighbor girls, just depends on availability, otherwise a night at home
Dinner - I am thinking salmon, and I saw a recipe this morning that looked good, but will have to wait and see.

Friday
Plans - Dinner and a movie with the boys parents
Dinner - Out to celebrate the boys parents birthdays.

Saturday
Plans - At the moment we don't have plans this weekend, which is kind of nice as we have a ton to get done at home. I will be posting our home goals for 2013 later this week, but it would be nice to start crossing some of those projects off of the list.
Dinner - If I am home all day, I am pretty sure I will want to head out to a dinner or the movies, but we will see.

Sunday
Plans - More of the same from yesterday!
Dinner - I am actually off on Monday (which is going to seem so weird) so I am not sure, maybe something braised in the pot, I will have to wait and see.
