I love wasabi peas they make such a great snack and I can't wait to use the soba noodles, I found some great recipes online. I have kept the orange ginger chews in pocket book, they are perfect when I need just a little something!

September Foodie Pen Pal Reveal!

This was a fun month for Foodie Pen Pals! I sent Ashley in VA of Your Girl for All Seasonings a box and I received a WONDERFUL package from Emma in PA!

The package was decorated beautifully and I loved every bit of it. She sent a muffin from the camp/resort she works at. It was delicious, and perfect timing as I had an early drive the next morning, so I could take it with me on the road! She also sent along some delicious granola and the recipe, which I have been enjoying with my yogurt and some fresh raspberries in the morning, SO GOOD! My favorite though has to be these wonderful chocolate mints made especially for Skytop by Callie's Candy Kitchen. Oh my goodness, these are SO delectable! I have kind of been hoarding them as I can imagine putting a couple out for friends after a dinner party, they are SO delicious! These are the kinds of mints my sister absolutely love, I might have to share a couple of them with her when I see her next. Thank you so much Emma, I loved everything!

July Foodie Pen Pal Reveal!

Wow, can you believe July is over? Oh my gosh it went by so fast! It seems like we were just celebrating the 4th of July and now August is here! I love the summers in Minnie, and this has been our second hottest July on record, but you will not hear me complaining! I love the summer and the weather! I may have to do a July re-cap since it seems to have been a while since I have posted anything and we have been up to quite a bit!

Onto the July Foodie Pen Pal reveal! My pen pal came to us from the great Northeast! I love New England and all it has to have offer and really miss living out there. One of the things I actually miss the most is Stew Leonards, oh how I miss that place!

My pen pal, Aileen of 300 Threads which is a great blog about travel, food and lifestyle, check it out if you get a chance. There is a great story about why their blog is named 300 Threads, it really made me just laugh out loud!

In my package this month was red pepper jelly and salted rosemary shortbread!

I can't wait to try both of these. We have a long weekend up at the lake with two other couple friends of ours and they are both foodies so I am looking forward to bringing these items with us to try! It will be perfect timing. Thanks Aileen, I just loved everything!

The foodie pen pal that I sent to this month was Katherine, and while she doesn't have a blog, I had a really good time putting together a package and sending it off to her. The bummer part was that the package of wild rice that I sent to her exploded and didn't make it. Its too bad because that is one of my favorite things that I sent to her that is native to Minnie! She sent a note saying that she enjoyed everything else though!

June Foodie Pen Pal Reveal!

I had the BEST Foodie Pen Pal this month!

Anna was so sweet and thoughtful and sent me the best package!

I love how she wrapped everything up with summer sunshine!

I couldn't wait to open everything up, and I almost forgot to take pictures! The herb book is PERFECT! I have all of these fresh herbs growing and I cannot wait to read it at the lake this coming week, I am sure I will have all kinds of good ideas for the herbs!

We will be using the honey this weekend up at the lake, I cannot WAIT! I love it when the food packages contain local honey, do you wonder if the bees can make different tasting honey? I am sure of it!

This is SO awesome! A couple of years ago for my birthday, the boy took me to this restaurant, Mission, and they had a lavender creme brulee that I am going to try to re-create.

Oh delicious ice tea. I am going to try my hand at making sun tea this weekend, this is going to be the perfect addition to the tea!

Anna, thank you SO much for such a sweet and thoughtful June foodie pen pal package! I LOVED everything! Check out her blog here!

May Foodie Pen Pal Box Reveal!

I participated in  my first Foodie Pen Pal in May, it was SO much fun! I had a ton of fun putting my box together to send to Hannah in Troy, NY and then I was SO excited to get my package from Sara!

She sent me a FABULOUS box of stuff and I just LOVED everything!
Such adorable packaging!
She sent me a package full of things for entertaining, which is going to be PERFECT for summer entertaining!
I have been wanting pretty decorative ice cube trays, and I just LOVE these! I cannot wait to use them! I think it would be fun to even put raspberries in them!
How FUN are these dips? The bruschetta I really wanted to use and break out last night, but ultimately decided to wait for something special. The honey is awesome, I use honey in so many different things! On a good piece of cheddar with crackers, with salmon or even in a mojito! I cannot wait to try this one made from blueberries!
What an awesome package, I just LOVED everything she put into it! The dishtowels are wonderful, I use them as napkins so much during the summer! Sara, thank you SO much for such a wonderful thoughtful and well thought out package, what a wonderful Foodie Pen Pal!

Check out Sara's Blog The Imperfect Kitchen, she has some great recipes!
