On the Menu Monday (MPM) - Week 38

Busy weekend around here, and a travel week this week. Then I am home for a week and then two weeks of travel again, so I have to get some cooking in. Fall is my favorite time of year to cook!

We had a wonderful weekend here, the weather was absolutely gorgeous and the majority of the weekend was spent outside which made it even better (although my allergies are paying for it of course - wound up in bed most of yesterday!).

Friday was the boys birthday dinner party which was really nice, we all had a good time and it was a wonderful group of people. The menu worked out perfectly as well, it was nice to have everything made when everyone got here and then just serve. The conversation was wonderful and Scott got to catch up with an old college friend as well.

Saturday was Grillfest 2012, we had a blast and of course wonderful food. Everything from steak with a blue cheese sauce, grilled plums, wonderful dips, mahi-mahi, rotisserie pork loin and chicken stuff gouda. Everything was delicious!

After spending all of Saturday outside, I woke up Sunday feeling like my head weight two tons. On top of that we had a small hole in a pipe under the sink that the boy had to fix, well, this wound up being a full day project and we are still without water. My dad is coming over to help the boy out after he is done with work today, but I am on the road this morning. The gym was a saving grace!

This week is travel, but I did make a tator tot hot dish for the boy and my dad so that they would have dinner tonight after they are done fixing the kitchen sink!

Hoping to make a few dishes over the weekend to put in the freezer to pull out as I travel more in October. My allergies have been so bad that I am hoping I don't wind up in bed sleeping over the weekend, too much to do!
