Meal Plan Monday! Weekend Recap!

We had a wonderful weekend with friends in town. Friday the boy and I ran some errands and picked up a couple of things for a project that we will be working on a home soon. Details to follow.

Saturday, we picked up something even better, J and her daughter at the airport! We took them to Midtown Global Market for lunch where we walked around and checked out some of the different international fare that they had to offer. We finally all decided on some Mexican that was pretty good, too much food and very filling. After we headed to Byerly's in St. Louis Park to pick up some different cheeses and munchies for our girls slumber party. My sister and niece Grace joined us, the boy went off to do boy things and we settled in for the night with J mixing up some fabulous guacamole and then of course meat and cheese, crackers and bread along with a few cocktails of course. The girls hit it off when they discovered that they both do not like to wear matching socks and had brought the same American Girl doll Felicity to play with. They had a great time doing art shows for us, playing the Wii and making "recipes" with Jelly Belly's.

The American Girl Fashion Show was so much fun, the girls did such an awesome job and were so cute, it was really fun to share the experience with them.

Sunday evening, the boy came back and enjoyed J and her daughter and I for dinner at a place we had not been to, but had been wanting to try and had heard a lot of good things about, Duplex. We all ordered something different and all of our dishes were amazing, it was definitely a good choice, I am looking forward to going back and trying other items on their menu!

It was a great weekend, had such a good time with them, wish they lived closer!

Monday
Plans - Bid our guests adieu, day off, doctors appointment, meeting with my former boss to catch up, catch up on DVR, the boy is off too, so we will probably get our grocery shopping for the week in.
Dinner - most likely a frozen pizza and salad

Plans - JLM General Meeting
Dinner - the boy fends for himself, me, sandwich on the go

Wednesday
Plans - Screening Remember Me
Dinner - Diva Chicken


Thursday
Plans - Screening How to Train Your Dragon or Our Family Wedding we haven't decided which one yet.
Dinner - Dinner on the go

Friday
Plans - Catch up on DVR
Dinner - Mahi Mahi

Saturday
Plans - Summit Duty and Mink Night to the III
Dinner - Munchies that everyone brings to L's.

Sunday
Plans - Recoop. It usually takes at least a day.
Dinner - Whatever the boy feels like.
