We met up with the girls and had a really good time! While we do a lot of socializing with the wine group, dinners out with friends and such, it is not very often that we go out for a bar night with live music and beers. Here are some highlights. . .

There was a really good and fun crowd. All of the girls are single so the boy was the token male, and what you can't see in these pictures (no he was not taking the pictures) is that he kept trying to sneak his head in the background in these pictures. TOO funny. It was interesting though how the men would not approach any of the women but once someone started a conversation with any of them there was no problem at all. I just don't get that. Some people say a group of women can be intimidating to approach, but what about a group of men?
The venue is great for catching bands and doing a little dancing (we didn't but we thought about it) and the band last night was pretty good too! I love the stained glass window behind the stage and the chandelier.
We are off to dinner and a movie tonight, no meat, Friday. So I made big salads for lunch and we will be headed for pasta tonight and I think we will be taking in Fools Gold even though the reviews were not great, we have been wanting to see it!
Hope you all have a great weekend, we have my sisters three kids so that should be a lot of fun! Or interesting!

Are they (mistakenly) assuming that you would rather hang out without children tagging along? Could that be why they don't include you? Either way, good for you for taking the initiative nad inviting them.
Have fun with the kiddos this weekend. If you find yourself at a grocery store, look for smiley face french fries? Kids love 'em. And what about some Valentine's Day art/baking project?
Love your sweater! Have a fun weekend, as I know you will! Can't wait to hear all about it!
Sounds like a fun weekend!
The sweater looks great on you!
Enjoy!
I agree with Tulipmom--good for you taking the initiative. I know since we have a child that we do a lot of socializing with other people who have kids. Part of it is that's just the way it's happened in our circle of friends, but also it's sometimes a matter of logistics. For example, we and another family sometimes have one family take the kids for the day and the other family fix dinner in the evening. When you have people with kids over for dinner, do you invite the kids too? I can totally see why you might not, but that leaves the kid family with finding and hiring a sitter. Even if kids come along, I know we're sometimes a little nervous if we're going to a non-kid house. Making your house somewhat kid friendly might help. Now I'm rambling. Good luck with it though!
Looks like a fun night out! Kudos to the boy for hanging with all those girls!
so the bangs are driving you crazy? Now, I don't know b/c I don't want to have to wear headbands all the time.
PS like the sweater.
