Friday we did head out to dinner and the movies and we both LOVED Fool's Gold. Go and see it if you want something lighthearted and fun. It was really cute. We also had a very enjoyable first Friday of Lent dinner. It is nice that we are both Catholic and observe the same traditions, even though neither of us are overly religious. We had dinner at Maggiano's which was very good, I had a salad which was delish and the boy a cup (read=trough) of NE Clam Chowder which was very good and we split wild mushroom ravioli. It is so nice that we can share an entree and still have leftovers!
We did get out to a couple of estate sales, but sadly, no treasures. We had an excellent lunch (and break before we got the kids) at Pepitos and enjoyed!
Then . . .we got the kids. . . .
A few observations from the weekend
- do kids always just bounce? I mean instead of walking or sitting they just bounce non-stop?
- ADD is an understatement, I think that kids today have no idea what patience is.
- Manners? I guess I just thought that MY niece and nephews were better than that. . .
- Sleep deprivation, I could have slept anywhere at anytime this weekend
We completed our weekend with dinner at the boys parents and the Grammy's which I thought were interesting. I do really like Amy Whinehouse's music, just not sure what I think about her. . .
I will have to post picture tomorrow, I am too tired from a full weekend, very busy day of work and a JLM meeting. . . .

Bouncing is a required skill I think. Hope you get some well deserved rest.
The (lack of) manners thing drives D. and I crazy. How many freaking times do we have to remind SB to say "please" and "thank you"????
Hope you get some sleep.
Oh my, what a very busy weekend indeed! I fell asleep before Amy's performance, but I thought the Beatles tribute was beautiful. I'm wishing you some restful moments today. :)
thought of you when i saw this article:

brrr!!!
Yep--they bounce. Especially when they are excited and happy.
My take on the patience thing is that a lot of kids watch too much tv and that a lot of children's programming chunks things into seven-second sound bites--sort of the opposite of something requiring sustained attention like reading, just looking at a book, or drawing. OK, I'm getting off my soapbox!
Sounds like you had a really fun weekend with them. They are very cute!
Ah, Maggiano's! How was it?
By the way, the pictures of your niece and nephews that you posted are adorable!
