Cladia Cohen dies at 56 from Ovarian Cancer

Living in Manhattan during her divorce from Ron Perleman she was all over the place. She died from the silent killer. If you don't know anything about Ovarian Cancer and you are a woman, you owe yourself to educate yourself. 56 is too young to die, however, if you see your OB-GYN every year they check for almost everything, however, they don't check for this. Please help do what you can, ask questions and educate yourself. I am 4 and a half years cancer free, and considered a "young survivor". I do not want mine to come back, or for anyone else I know to be struck with this. Cladia, you will be missed.

My cousin died at the age 26 from Ovarian Cancer, she could still be here if she would have just gone to the dr.

It's a simple life saver!

Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention. Why is it that it's not something that they check for at an annual appointment?

I don't understand why they don't screen for this when you go to the gyno, you're right, they check for everything else while you're there!

I have never understood why they don't check for ovarian cancer. It is the silent killer so you would think that there would be some type of a cancer screen that they could do.

Happy to hear that you are 4 1/2 years cancer free.

So glad to hear you are a survivor. Ovarian cancer is always lurking in the background in my family. My sister-in-law's mother, grandmother, several aunts, etc. (6 or 7 women in all) all died from this silent killer. My sister-in-law is very diligent about checkups and eventually wants to have her ovaries removed but at 35 she isn't finished with child-bearing yet.
