zzzzzz. . . . sleep. . . . zzzzzzzz

I have not been sleeping this week. At all. Yesterday I was up at 4 and in the office by 6, this morning it was 2, I laid in bed and read a while but then just gave up and was in by 6 again. I think that I just have a lot on my mind and it prohibits me from sleeping, I try, but I as soon as I start to relax I think of something else. Between work (where I am swamped), moving (December 1st and I still have a ton I need to do), waiting for some test results and not getting along with my sister, it just seems to be too much to think about. I am just glad that everything is good with the boy and that he is so fabulous and does a good job in the evenings of getting my mind off of things.

I was in training all day yesterday, which was really good actually and I am happy about that, but you know what that mean, out of the office all day, in the office late to catch up. So I was here pretty late last night and then had to head to Home Goods to check out some rugs. I think that I found three that I really like, the boy and I are going to go this weekend and check them out. I did buy a bath rug, figured I was pretty safe with that since it is just white. Then I went and picked up some dinner to make for the boy and I and headed to his house. He has been working on getting all of his online Naval courses complete so that if he does get deployed (which I still hope he doesn't) after his medical hold is up in February, he can be advanced prior to going over there, smart guy.

I have book club tonight, it will be my second time getting together with this group. I don't have the book completely read yet, but not much left so I can get there early and finish. We are reading "The Mermaid Chair" by Sue Monk Kidd. I am really enjoying it so far and I also enjoyed "The Secret Life of Bee's". I think the boy is probably glad that I have this tonight as well, I think that he worries about me not being completely fulfilled and I think he tries really hard to fill in the blank spots, but he is SO NOT a girl.

I have the HUGEST to do list at the moment. And for some reason nothing seems to be coming off of it! I like crossing things off, I just wish I would have more to cross off at the moment.

It is my turn to play nurse for the boy this weekend. I am taking him for his Lasik on Friday, which I am sure will go well. We will have another low-key weekend. We are heading over to my new place Saturday, I want to take pictures of it completely empty so that I can build my work in progress album. That will also help me over the next two weeks looking for things and picking out rugs and such. Not an easy task. I left a good deal of my furniture out East, but my mother has assured me we will find exactly what I want and need here. I think we will too. I have picked up a couple of things here and there. I am really excited about my wardrobe room though, it will be so nice to have a big gigantic place to organize all of my clothes, shoes and accessories. It will also help me in paring down my wardrobe. I know a lot of people hate moving (I am one of them) but this is going to be fun. Especially since I have to get unpacked very quickly since I have decided it just wouldn't be the holidays without my annual holiday cocktail party. I am going to keep it small, but I just have to do it.
