So I took the boy this morning for his Lasik. He has just been a nervous wreck all week. I cannot believe how apprehensive he was and how unsure he was. He really was making me crazy and I was trying to be as patient as possible.
We went to see the premiere of "Fast Food Nation" last night and went to dinner with the boy's friend before which was nice. The movie was so-so, I would give it a 4. The crowd was very interesting and eclectic. The boy thinks that he got food poisoning from the caf at work and was sick on the way home and had to pull over multiple times, so needless to say I went home. I had to get up at 5 in order to get some reports done for work before leaving to take him to his appointment, and then I had to be on calls all afternoon, so it was a hectic day for me, on top of that, I guess I just had a lot on my mind.
I was trying to get through some of the things on my ta-da list on Thursday prior to leaving for the day. One of the things was to pick up a baby gift for a friend in Chicago. I went with a friend from work, ran down to Target, picked up a prescription, some things on my list and the baby gift, a cute little pink sleeper with a fluffy little white jacket. After my meetings were done on Friday, I ran and got the "It's a Girl" card and pink paper along with dinner while the boy was napping. Got everything out and ready to wrap it up so that we could send it off the next day, but the boy had a problem with this. He said, (and he doesn't even know her) didn't she have a boy? Named Finn? UGH! So back it all went and we got a boy outfit on Saturday, but clearly there was too much on my mind.
His eyes turned out great and he is VERY pleased with the results. I think he is still apprehensive about the long term effects of what can happen and he is examining everything very carefully, but we will just have to wait and see.
Friday night was low key with pizza, a movie and some Nip/Tuck from the first season, I am so glad I got him hooked on that!
