On the Menu Monday (MPM) - Week 40

We were up at a friends lake home in Spooner, WI this past weekend. It was really nice to get away for the weekend, especially after working on turning over my closet all last weekend, going through everything with more of a fine tooth comb. And then starting at a new client site yesterday. This is a temporary move, I am not super excited about it, but sometimes you need to bridge the gap.
We had a great time up at the lake. There were five of us and it was fun to kick back and catch up. Lots of good food, wine, a terrible (in my mind) movie, a couple of walks and lots of reading.
This week it is all about getting used to a new schedule, a couple of movies, hopefully a couple of good walks and getting ready for the weekend!

Monday
Plans - first day at the new client. Movie screening in Uptown Parkland, good movie, more later. We also stopped by another Home Goods, still in search of this elusive loveseat or settee for the sitting room. It has turned into quite the hunt.
Dinner - We went to Punch near Lake Calhoun, it was a beautiful day! Love that place, we split a pizza and a big salad which was perfect. We were trying to remember the last time we had pizza and we couldn't, I think that is a good sign.
Tuesday
Plans - I am hoping sister J will come for a walk after work, it is another perfect fall day here and I would like to get 4 miles in after work.
Dinner - broiled salmon, sauteed peppers and onions
Wednesday
Plans - if it is nice, it will be a walk with sister J and the boy!
Dinner - Roasted chicken breasts with tomato and basil
Thursday
Plans - Captain Phillips screening at MOA and a trip to Ikea. I want to look at shelves for the media room for an upcoming project.
Dinner - either Chipotle or sushi, it may just be a flip of a coin.
Friday
Plans - A friend that I recently ran into going through a tough situation is coming for dinner and wine.
Dinner -Up in the air on this one.
Saturday
Plans - We have a really fun day planned Saturday, I am really looking forward to it. We are starting out at the Arboretum with another couple, none of us have been before. And then a tasting at a local winery, if we have time a possible stop by a local apple orchard, ending the day back at our house for dinner. I have a really fun meal planned that I will post next week! Even though it is supposed to rain I am still looking forward to it!
Sunday
Plans - catch up on chores at home
Dinner - depends on the weather, but I may make a soup or chili to have for lunches during the week.
