Meal Plan Monday - Week 12

The snow is melting here, yahoo! It is supposed to snow yet this week, and it is not going to be as warm as last week, but at least there is hope in sight and I am seeing green stuff start to poke through in the garden. We had a good, but busy weekend. Friday the boy and I picked up my race packet for Saturday and had a wonderful dinner at Vic's which I will share a review on later this week. Saturday was race morning, so I met sister J at her house and we headed to the start line. It was a beautiful morning and a great day for a walk/run.

Saturday evening we hosted a Chocolate and Wine event for the wine club. I made the cocoa rubbed pork tenderloin which was delicious, but there were some wonderful dishes. Triple creme brie with chocolate wafers I think was my favorite.

Yesterday we had both sets of parents over and headed out for an early dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. Both of our mothers had not been there before so it was on their list to try. They have such a gigantic menu you really can't go wrong.

This week, I am hoping will be a little better with work, and I am hoping to not have to change plans due to work. But we do have a full week at work as well.

Monday
Plans - Home, Laundry, Catch up on DVR
Dinner - Boston Pork Butt' with rub in Crock Pot (I mixed together dry mustard, sea salt, paprika, chili powder, granulated garlic, I put the rub on the pork and then put two teaspoons of liquid smoke in. It will cook for about 8 to 9 hours and we will have it with cole slaw and rolls and some baked beans.

Tuesday
Plans - Movie Screening - Soul Surfer Work, but the boy worked on the guest bathroom!
Dinner - Not sure yet, maybe Roja which is near the theater I made something new, very good, would definitely make it again Greek Style Skillet Supper

Wednesday
Plans - Taping of America's Got Talent Work. . .again, but we did have a big snow storm too, plus, they canceled the taping, Piers Morgan couldn't fly in.
Dinner - We haven't made dinner plans yet, still waiting to see what the group would like to do. We have both sets of parents and my sister and older nephew joining us as well. I took this recipe and tweaked it and made it my own, look for it in a future post. . . BBQ Chicken Pork Pizza Soup

Thursday
Plans - Home
Dinner - Chili, it is supposed to be colder this week, this may be the last time I make this before the Fall.

Friday
Plans - JLM Volunteer Shift with the boy
Dinner - Trying to decide between one of three places since we will be back in my old 'hood

Saturday
Plans - Murder Mystery Dinner Party to celebrate my birthday
Dinner - Not sure if I should do a sit down dinner or heavy appetizers yet. I have never done one of these before, but I have heard that it is easier for everyone to get the clues if we all seated together.

Sunday
Plans - The boy to start working on the guest bathroom (we are two months behind on house projects) and I will start on the guest room and turning over closets.
Dinner - Nye's Polonaise in NE Mpls.
