Movie Review

Last night the boy and I saw a sneak preview of Flawless with Demi Moore and Michael Caine. It is set in the 1960's in London and is loosely based on an actual jewelry heist. Michael Caine plays a janitor who wants to steal his employers inventory. He gets his accomplice involved, Demi Moore, who plays an American who studied at Oxford and is continually passed over for promotions by the old boys club.

I loved Demi's wardrobe and she looked fabulous. I love that era anyway, but her clothes fit her to a tee. Having not seen her in anything in quite a while, it was a pleasant surprise to see her in a leading role. But again, she is typically playing the only female in a mans world role which she has played before. She also has the Madonna/Britney British accent. What is up with that?
The film does give an interesting view into the diamond industry, and if you have seen Blood Diamond, then you will be able to follow the politics. There are also interesting plot twists throughout the movie and the first clip shows an aged Demi Moore.

An unpredictable film throughout, catch it if you get a chance.

The boy and I are off to see Jersey Boys this afternoon after a nice lunch. From there we are going to another sneak preview, so double reviews tomorrow!

Demi Moore will always be Jackie Templeton from GH to me, but I'm with you--it's great to see her in a leading role again. I've always loved that she bagged the Hollywood scene to hang out in Idaho and raise her kids.

Glad to have the recommendation--my parents will be here soon, so Husband and I will have free babysitting! Hope you enjoy Jersey Boys. We didn't get to see it when it was here in SF, but all the review were great.
