Company for Dinner!

So last night I had the family of the friend that passed away over for dinner. Michael, who is my age, his birthday was Sunday and I knew that it was not going to get celebrated the way that it normally would, so I thought I would make his favorite spaghetti and meatballs and some celebratory cupcakes. Of course when you want to do something nice nothing goes right, but when just having a nice casual relaxing evening, no problems.

First, the boy stopped at the store to get an extra box of pasta that I thought it would be good to have just in case, and the sauce that I wanted for the meatballs. Well, wouldn't you know it, the store that he stopped at did not have the right brand. Oh well, make due right? Then, I parked in the parking ramp that my new job pays for, for the first time yesterday. Well, I parked in the WRONG ramp, had to leave my car at the exit gate, walk all over trying to find the management office, I am now in tears and freezing, my 10 minute commute took me 40 minutes, I got home and started making meatballs immediately, my guests arrived 10 minutes after I walked in the door, it was a tad chaotic and the spaghetti and meatballs were not my best at all, but it was good to see them and sometimes you just have to go with the flow.

Drove in and parked in the right ramp today. J came with me which helped a great deal, but of course in the chaoticness of yesterday's ramp dealings, I left my monthly pass in the coat pocket I had on yesterday, ugh! Oh well. Getting through some of my ta-da list, doing some online learnings today. The boy and I are going to have dinner at one of our favorite places to celebrate the closing and I need to go to Super Target for some things so we will get those things done tonight as well as some laundry I hope! My sister just emailed me to let me know that we are a go for Friday night, she and my niece Miss Grace are going to spend the night which should be a lot of fun, just us girls. So no movie for me this week, which is okay because they were going to see that 300 movie at the Imax, and while it looks good, I think I can skip this one. The boy has drills so he will be getting up to go to those really early Saturday anyway.
