Friday night we had the boys friend from the Navy over for dinner. The weather had definitely gotten chilly, so comfort food was in order. I made Beef Stew in Red Wine Sauce that turned out wonderfully. That over mashed potatoes was just what the doctor ordered. Our appetizer I had caught a glimpse of on tv last week. Sandra Lee was making it and I thought it looked very fall like and easy, Fig and Prosciutto Crostata, this was SO good and really easy to make, I will definitely be making this again!
Saturday we spent the day with my parents, had lunch and did some shopping in a cute little town. That evening we did our bi-monthly dinner couples dinner out at Parma 8200, it was just delicious!
Sunday we celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving with our Canadian friends. Dinner, as usual, was absolutely delicious. She is a wonderful cook and there are always a few surprises. The turkey was divine!
Turkey is the boys favorite, he is never far as it is is being carved!
I was supposed to travel again this week, but things change! I am kind of happy to be home this week. Because of that, we don't have huge plans, but we do have some fun things to look forward to!

Stopping by for a blog visit from Organizing Junkie's Menu Plan Monday today!
Happy Thanksgiving! That is one huge turkey!
I love this time of year when the temps have cooled down to something liveable in Las Vegas!
When I opened our coat closet I didn't get hit with a blast of heat today. Now that's much better.
I'll be on the lookout for soup recipes to add to my recipe file box.
