A few updates. . .

Another working weekend here. And I put in almost as many hours in the past two days as I did all last week. That was on top of, a huge snow storm yesterday which left us without power for 12 hours. We spent 7 hours at Panera so that I could work and do conference calls while still plugged in. The boy read EW, I think he should have brought two. He did have two meals while hanging at Panera. Good sport too.

I have been exhausted. When I finally call it a night, and lay my head to rest, I crash, hard. I have never worked so many hours and taxed my brain as much as I have on a regular basis. . .ever. I am not giving my brain a break really. I need to go for a walk, take a long shower, organize my closet, chop vegetables and catalog my wine. But none of those things are happening.

We are having "some" friends over a for a house warming next weekend. The house is not feeling very warm. . . . we have not gotten any further than we had a couple of weeks ago. And I am guilty as charged. We did get the coat closet cleaned out between conference calls today, that felt good. I should post a picture just to prove that there is progress.

We went over to J & K from CT's house last night for dinner and drinks. A perfect evening with awesome friends. They leave a week from Monday to move back to NYC. I am going to miss them SO much. They are the type of friends that you can literally just sit and hang with all night without a care in the world. They are my piece of East here, and I truly am going to feel so alone without them. The only people here that when I say things like, oh man, could I go for some Colony, actually know and get what I am referring to. Or when I say "my beach" they know I mean West Beach and they know my spot. Its going to be hard. Their dog Max has got to be the cutest thing ever. He just LOVES the boy and I laughed so hard as he cuddled and snuggled with him last night, it was just the cutest thing ever.

We did a little shopping yesterday after my calls and before heading to J & K's. My clothes and closets are a mess. I will have to get back to you on that later. Part of the problem is no time for myself, so I am kinda falling apart. I did take time today to take a LONG shower instead of just getting in and out, and then painted my toes after. I bought one of the new OPI Burlesque colors yesterday and love it. So, at least I feel as the toes are taken care of.

Not much else to report. I went to get the last couple of ingredients for a stew I was going to make for dinner and got stuck in the parking lot on a call. . . for almost 2 hours. SO. . .yes, on a Sunday we had hot dogs and french fries for dinner. I HATE HOT DOGS. SO, I guess that should give you an idea of what I am struggling with. . .
