MN Food & Wine Show

This past weekend was one of my favorite weekends of the year! On Saturday we volunteered with friends at the MN Monthly Food & Wine Show, handing out programs, water and glasses for tasting. It is always so much fun, we run into some fantastic people and it is just great people watching overall.

Sunday we went to the show as attendees. Since we are familiar with the show, understand the layout, and had scouted out the wines that we wanted to try, we knew where to start, since we had volunteered the day before, we also were able to get in early.

Some of our favorite wines of the day!
I definitely tried some new wines to add to my collection. I also joined a couple of new wine clubs.

We had a lot of fun goofing around too, sister J is not quite tall enough to be a good Paul Bunyan!
There was plenty of good eats as well!
My friend Jacky would have LOVED this soup. It was made by an all girl catering company called Chow Girls. A few of us said it was our favorite thing of the day!
The boy was scoring free stuff all over. They were handing out samples in little cups of Annie's Kettle Corn, but he professed his love of it, and they gave him a full bag. I wish I would have taken a picture of the Drooling Moose, that was one of my favorite places of the day.

I can't believe we have to wait a whole year for this event to come around again!

I need to get there one year and "help" with this event. Always looks fun.

The checked outfit is perfect on the boy! And I want his kettle korn to make kettle kron cookies. Yummy!

Oh and that soup looks awesome.
