Meal Plan Monday!

A little slow this morning, it was a long weekend, and we did not finish watching the Oscars until 1:00 am and still did not see the red carpet or the Barbara Walters special but we did have a really nice weekend. It is restaurant week here, so we will be doing more dining out than usual, but we do have a couple of meals planned. Want some more Meal Plan ideas? Check out orgjunkie!

Monday-Rotini with Chicken, Asparagus and Tomatoes
Tuesday- Dinner Out, Restaurant Week
Wednesday- One Pan Whiskey Flavored Pork Chops
Thursday - Dinner Out, Restaurant Week
Friday - Dinner Out, Restaurant Week
Saturday - Wine Event

So not too many meal to prepare for here, but in a way, that is okay too. We have two movie premieres to attend as well, so it is going to be a busy week.

The weekend was WONDERFUL. Friday we saw Vantage Point and Jumper and they were both pretty good. We did not expect to like Jumper, it was just a bonus movie, but we actually really enjoyed it. We had a really nice dinner at CPK and I got to run in to the book store and pick up a couple of books that I have been wanting as well as some new magazines.

Saturday we did some treasure hunting, had a blast, grabbed lunch in St. Paul which was fun, but we wound up back at a place we had already been to when we should have tried somewhere new, but it was still really good. I worked at Summit in the Gift Shop, picked up my pay (four cases of beer since we had not picked up January's allowance) and had the truck washed. We were going to try to make it to a wine tasting but we started working on a couple of projects (look for those later this week) and just got settled in for the night with a fire, some wine and a pizza from Broders which was delicious. It was the first time we had ordered from them, delivery pizza, we love the Pasta Bar, but I was SO delighted. It was the closest I have come to NY pizza since I moved here. The crust isn't quite there, but they have REAL pepperoni. I was in heaven. I think the boy thought I was nuts. We wrapped up the night with a little SNL which I thought for the first time in a LONG time was HYSTERICAL! Did anyone else catch it? SO FUNNY!

Sunday it was up early again to pick up my friend T to head to the Food and Wine Show. We stopped at Caribou to get a "coffee" well I don't drink coffee, or caffeine at all, but I felt I should get something since T wanted to get it for the boy and I since he was driving us. I got this Turtle sorta drink that had espresso in it, I don't even know what that is, but I will tell you that I was FLYING for the next three hours, I don't think that will happen again for a while. Made me shake, sweat, feel queasy, not a fun thing.

The Food and Wine Show probably deserves its own post, but I will tell you that we had the BEST time. We wound up running a booth together, plus being in charge of another booth. We were paid quite handsomely with wine and other things that we traded for wine and my wine club as well as a couple of girls nights will be reaping the benefits of this. I am really looking forward to going through all of the goodies, but we divided up the loot and then the boy and I headed to his parents for dinner and the Oscars. We did not get there until after 8 so we did not finish watching the Oscars until after 1, and that was not including getting to watch the Barbara Walters Special and the red carpet, but I DID win our pool, so I was excited about that.

Okay better get to it here, I will try to clean this up a bit later, but I wanted to get this up for my Meal Plan Monday. Hope you all had a great weekend!
