Week in Review!

Whew, it has been a busy week! TGIF anyone? I cannot WAIT to leave for the lake later this afternoon! It has been a really good week though too.

Monday the boy and I had a nice dinner, I made the pork chops again, and it was a really nice evening so we went for a nice walk and then capped off the evening with a nice glass of wine on the deck.

I woke up with the beginnings of a migraine early Tuesday however, so we skipped the wine event on Tuesday night for my wine club. Luckily I asked one of the members who is a regular to step in for me. It was a hot and very humid day, but everyone had a really good time and I guess the food was wonderful.

We had some storms come through right before I had to leave work Wednesday which made getting to the boys very difficult and we were headed to a softball game for some tailgating with some former co-workers of mine from that big box retailer. It was really fun to catch up with some friends and see some familiar faces it turned out to be a beautiful night weather wise. We had some burgers on the grill and some salads and I baked some chocolate chip cookies (okay I didn't really bake them, I scooped them out of the container and put them on a sheet).

Last night was yet another wine event, I am trying to squeeze everything in while I am home. This one was a BYOB event at a members home. The home is beautiful, a bit of a drive out to their home but a great venue for this event.

The weather was perfect, high 70's low 80's and no humidity, no bugs, nothing!

The food and wines were all very good and Jane and I happen to have a lot of the same taste in food and wine so I loved everything.

Working from home today, well, the boys anyway. Getting laundry done, the lawn mowed and packed and ready to go so that we can leave right for the lake when the boy gets home from work. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, it is going to be a hot one here!
