We had a wonderful long weekend. I wish they were all long weekends! Friday we saw The Avengers finally and had dinner at a local favorite burger joint so that we could also pick up some of the special seasoning so that we could include it in our Memorial Day gift baskets for a few friends. It is delicious.
Saturday we had lunch at newer pizza place, more on that later this week, but it was delicious! I also put together the BLT pasta salad that I had talked about on last week, it was delicious, I highly recommend it and I will definitely be making it again this summer. Sunday we were invited to our friend J's for a wonderful dinner party and sister J was in town so we were able to catch up with her. Monday the boy and I spent the day lounging on the deck reading. It really was a lazy day. We were going to work on the yard, but it had rained so much that the ground was just a soggy sponge so we decided to just take a day for us and relax and get caught up on some reading, it was SO nice. Later, sister J came over for some burgers on the grill. A delicious way to end a nice long weekend.
This week we don't have a ton of plans until the weekend, but since it is a short week, we do have a lot we need to get done.
