Wine Club and drills. . .
Last nights event was a ton of fun and the club has really turned into something that I look forward to and enjoy! We had a smaller group than expected due to that nasty white stuff that I had taken a picture of below, but it was a great group. My friend Justin came and he had news. He got engaged this past weekend when he was home in CT visiting his family and girlfriend for Easter! I am very excited and happy for him. She will be moving here this summer so it will be another East coaster here!
I met some new members to the group which was a lot of fun and everyone had really nice things to say about the group and the event which is always nice to hear. I am looking forward to some of the upcoming events and combining some of the events with some fund raising opportunities for local charities. I am also planning a special girls only tasting. The food and room were wonderful and we had some great wines and champagnes to choose from.
Parking was kind of a pain, the place, Spill the Wine, is right in front of the Metrodome and the Twins were playing the Yankees last night (the Twins actually won one in the series) so that created a bit of a problem, but no one complained too much. This was the first event that they had there, they just opened last Tuesday and I thought they did exceptionally well considering. It is in a great old building that they have completely redone, a fantastic event area that we had to ourselves with a terrific view. I cannot wait to go back for brunch!
They are having a severe storm warning drill here at the client site where I am at the moment. But I decided that this would be the perfect opportunity to post on my blog, but there are these really loud annoying sirens going off. I hope we don't really get hit with a storm. What a pain.

Sounds like it was a fun night, what a great idea to plan a ladies-only night! I hope you don't get hit with all the nasty weather that's being predicted...
