Global Warming????

Lake Harriet Bandshell

So it was 81 degrees here yesterday. That is 7 degrees over the record. It was SO nice and summer like, of course today it is only 47 but still, yesterday was such a tease! There were SO many people out and about. I got home and the boy and I put our sneakers on and off we went for a walk around the lake. This was the first time that I have been able to go for a walk around the lake since I moved in. It is so nice having the lake just two blocks away. The whole loop is about three miles which is a perfect evening walk! They have a wonderful bandshell where they have music every night during the summer. I am looking forward to packing up a picnic and heading down to enjoy that as well.

I cooked up some pork chops with cherry peppers and rice last night with a big salad that was wonderful and then we went through our treasures from the weekend. I didn't get a chance to take any pictures, but hopefully I will tomorrow and I will be able to post them then. We got some really great stuff that we are both very excited about and we have had fun looking things up online and researching their value.

Tonight we are off to see Shooter and have some dinner as well as a trip to Super Target. So far a great birthday week. My allergies or this head cold are kind of kicking my butt but I will struggle through.
